  • 5. How should I prepare for my home remodeling project and how can I best be prepared to meet with a designer?

The following are some suggestions about how to prepare to meet with a designer for an initial consultation. But don’t worry, we are here to help you! If you are overwhelmed by the thought of deciding these things on your own, we specialize in making the process easier for you. There are additional resource guides for you to utilize on our website which can help with budgeting, style and design preparation.

    • Budget - A quality renovation is an investment in the value of your home and our designers love to help homeowners plan projects that update, modernize and improve the look and function of any area of your home. One of the best ways to start planning a project of your own is to plan a budget for each area that you plan to remodel. We offer product lines to accommodate many different price points and our designers take your budget into consideration to help create a design and a plan that will work for you.
    •  Style – This is the fun part! Be ready to describe your preferred style to our designers when you come to our showroom or meet for an initial site visit. Do some research in magazines or use online resources such as Houzz or the Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath photo gallery to determine a “look” that suites you. Bringing pictures and a list of things that you like or don’t like will help to convey your preferences to our designers so that they can get to work creating a space that you will love.
    • Function – Creating a useful space can be as important as creating a beautiful space. What are your thoughts about how you would like your newly remodeled area to function? What type of storage do you need? How can we help to organize your area? How would you like to make better use of your space?
  • 6. What should I expect from an initial consultation?

The goal of an initial consultation is for you to communicate your desires for your space and allow our designer to get to the heart of what type of cabinetry design will meet your needs, lifestyle and budget. You can set up a free consultation by calling our office, emailing or visiting our showroom to schedule an appointment. One of our designers will schedule a time to meet with you to take measurements and discuss your vision for the space you wish to build or remodel. After your in-home consultation, you will schedule an appointment in our showroom to review your preliminary designs. If you are interested in proceeding after the preliminary design, we will then require a deposit to continue working on your project. This deposit will be applied to the full cost of your project.

  • 7. Does Cornerstone Kitchen & Bath accept credit cards?

Yes! We take them all, however we do apply a 2% convenience fee.
